The shophouse renovation project for Soi Publishing Studio, designed with slotted angle steel bar as the main material which Thai people familiar with.

With the narrowness but depth of the shophouse, we divided the functionality by the building columns. The front section is a living room and bookshelves for display and sales, next is the working desk and meeting area and the main storage in the last section. The back of the building is used as kitchen and bathroom.

There is the layering of slotted angle steel bar in various sizes. Such as the working desk set with a shelf on top, adding hidden light strips along the steel edges to make look spaces more dimensional, also using this steel bar in the small details. such as door handles and light strip shades.
